I was feeling a little wealthy this week so I bought an XBox 360, a new Laptop and upgraded my membership in XNA Creators Club. I also downloaded a 3D combat game from creators club that may be of use to the Heaven and Hell effort. Depending on the level of art support we may be able to get some 3D back into that project.

Well it wasn't that easy setting things up and I think I spent an hour talking to Microsoft on the phone but finally I was able to export the 3D game from the laptop running Vista to the XBox and Play it. BTW the XBox is mostly being used as a DVD player.

So you'll be able to edit the game, add characters and levels, and customize the gameplay?

I keep getting killed early I don't think I am a very good gamer.

Anything is possible with enough support. At the minimum I envision 3D combat with my 2D tile engine. In that case Nail would be battling different foes. So new characters are needed like ogres, and humans. Another possibility is to have the whole thing in 3D and have the tile engine just act as a map so the main character doesn't get lost.

There are also some very good examples on XNA Creators Club for free members using character animation.

I found a model of a naked man on XNA Creators Club for sale and he is cheap. lol. I would need someone to draw clothing on him. There are probably other sites like this.

Right now I am looking seriously at this sample:

http://creators.xna.c...

It is a human animation and easier to use.

Some of the development of this sample is in
