In the last couple of days, I figured out how to play with the example programs, and now have a test for part of the control system for the proposed game project. If I were a little more confident with playing with the sample models, as well as the trig for keeping the camera relative to the player, I'd only have to worry about combat.

Those of you with C++ compilers of any kind, drop me a line and I'll figure out how to package what I have up for posting in the Files section of here.

I think you are right Floyd, Irrilicht is a good way to go, it can be cross platformed to many platforms including XBOX:

Hey I'm sitting here with nothing to do today and looking at the HelloWorld example. It is kind of interesting how Sydney is modelled. Would that be a good thing to show at the next meetup?
