Well it's been a few months since we had our last Meetup, and I put the group on hiatus for a bit because attendance was really low... but we've got some new faces and it's a great time to get things going again. So come on out, have a beer, and let's talk about making games.

One thing that I'll be talking about is a recent contract that I've been doing with Vicarious Visions/Activision down in Albany, working on FX for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. As a few of you know, I've been working on web stuff until recently, but I'm getting back into games. So I'll talk a bit about the pipeline they have, what the game's like, etc. Of course, all without breaking NDA. :)

In the long run, I'd like to see the group turn into a resource for ad hoc teams to form to build independent games. Flash and IPhone are especially ripe right now for 2 to 5 man projects that can be done in a month or so. Especially if you're interested in these types of projects, I hope to grow this group into a valuable resource for you (and me!).
