I am excited to announce that the Independent Film Festival of Washington DC (www.dciff.org) has invited us to join with them to organize a panel exploring interchange and connection between films and video games. I invite you to join Doug Whatley, Founder and CEO of Breakaway Games, and myself for an exploration of the games industry, where it stands today, its near future, how film and video games have crossed over in the past and what the future might bring.

BreakAway, Ltd. is a leading developer of entertainment games and game-based technology products. It create entertainment experiences that enable people to master skills and concepts in virtual worlds, and transfer this expertise to develop tools that provide game-based solutions for real world problems. BreakAway is changing the way people explore ideas, make decisions, teach and learn, and live their lives.

We will also be joined by Nina Walia, Associate Director of PBSKIDS.org and Allie Alvarado, Assistant Director of Content for PBS KIDS GO! talking about their educational games development programs for kids and bringing us the TV to game interaction of content development.


The meeting is FREE for the first 10 members of Games Gateway that reply to this invitation. After that the cost will be $25 and registration is on the Film Festival website (www.dciff.org).
