Check out www.agw.org.nz for more information on the group, and http://groups.google .co.nz/group/agw_nz for more info on our project. Our first project is a simple space shooter, GunJet, a 3D space shoot-em-up set in a hyperspace tunnel. The player is a mech robot with a jetpack, shooting at various enemies. The player also has close-up melee special attacks, and the ability to 'boost' at speed along the tunnel. The player's movement is restricted to right and left, whilst constantly moving along the tunnel. Aiming is done via the mouse cursor. We're aiming to complete the 'first playable' by June.
